Materials & Components

OUTER

Desserto® cactus leather, developed by the Mexican company Adriano Di Marti, is a very high quality biomaterial, made from Nopal cactus (also called Barbary fig tree).

Fully integrated into the local flora, this cactus is grown according to the methods of organic farming and without resorting to irrigation. Nopal is also an exceptional CO2 trap, which allows Adriano di Marti's crops to have a very clearly positive carbon footprint.

The manufacture of Desserto® consumes 9 times less energy and emits nearly 20 times less greenhouse gases than that of animal leather.

The visual aspect and the pleasure to the touch of the Desserto® are simply amazing. Tests carried out by an independent laboratory, the Leather Technical Center, have also shown that this cactus leather is equivalent to calf leather in terms of strength and longevity.

INNER

The Ultrasuede® is manufactured by the Japanese company Toray and incorporates nearly 30% of components from the recovery of sugar cane waste.

Econyl® is a 100% recycled and recyclable nylon fiber, made from plastic waste (bottles, fishing nets, etc.) by the Italian company Aquafil.

The fabrics used to make other linings are made of GOTS certified organic cotton (Global Organic Textile Standard), a label that guarantees the organic origin of the textile but also ecologically and socially responsible production.

Forebio® reinforcements are offered by the French company Keck Chimie, which has been present in the shoe and leather goods industry for more than a century.

These reinforcements, certified GRS (Global Recycled Standard), innovatively combine recycled textile fibers and latex from responsible sources. These products are also 100% recyclable.

Their excellent expansion capacity and remarkable resistance make it a first-class material for making bags and small leather goods.

Amann Group's Serafil® is a reference for high-end leather goods, offering remarkable strength for durable seams.

The "Recycled" version of Serafil®, made from recycled PET bottles and GRS certified (Global Recycled Standard), now combines sustainable quality and responsibility.

Metal Parts

The Italian company Officina Bigiotteria Italiana (OBI) offers expertise, quality and proximity.

OBI develops and produces in Italy, using 100% renewable energy. The company is certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and especially the ISO 14001 standard on environmental impact management.

To ensure that its jewelry pieces meet the highest social and environmental standards, OBI uses exclusively gold certified by the RJC (Responsible Jewellery Council).

Zipper

The Swiss Riri group is a leader in the manufacture of metal accessories and the privileged choice of many luxury houses.

Since 2021, Riri has made recycled polyester a standard for its range of zippers.

The use of GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified recycled polyester, from post-consumption (80%) and pre-consumption (20%), will allow a 32% reduction in CO2 emissions related to the acquisition of polyester within the group.
