Adinkra Akoko Nan AfléOne Bead - Parenthood

Akoko Nan means “the hen’s feet”. It refers to the Akan proverb “when the hen treads on her young ones, she does not mean to kill them”. In other words, although parents are sometimes tough on their children, it is not their intention to harm them. This symbol represents parenthood, care, parental education and patience.

The Adinkra beads are made of 18k gold over sterling silver.

Each bead has a different meaning. They can be mixed and matched to create a unique message for yourself or for your loved ones.
